Are There Any Studies Out There Showing Different Levels Of Hcg Hormone Varying From A Boy To Girl?

November 7, 2009 · Posted in HCG

My friend and I were talking today at work, and since there are studies out for it seems EVERYTHING else…we were wondering this…
Has it ever been shown that a baby boy or baby girl puts out more of the hormone HCG? I had a positive test 3 days before my missed period, whenever 2 of my friends never got positives until they were 2 weeks late on their period…so we were pondering on this question a little at work today, and I thought I would see what the community thought!

No, pregnancy hormones do not vary due to the sex of the baby. The main reason people get positives at different times is due to the actual date they ovulated. I have an irregular cycle and when I tested every day I didn’t get a positive result until my period was 5 days late.
